People

When I start a piece for this series of people I utilize the natural effects of gravity on water as a tool to apply paint to my ground, hence literally bringing nature into the creative process. At this stage I do not know exactly what is happening until the paint settles and dries, so the subject is allowed to grow organically out of this process of happenstance.

While I utilize the runs to integrate the subject into the over all body of the work, these pieces also leave the subject isolated from any tangible physical environment. This is referencing our isolation within industrialized cultures, despite all our consumption we are ultimately left disconnected and without community.
